Wednesday, 7th January
The Hackspace has a new neon (real!) sign bathing the comfy area in a comforting green.

The rain throughout the night will likely turn to dangerous icy patches this morning, so be very careful out there today. There shouldn't be any more rain though, and temperatures are staying above 1 degree throughout the day, so hopefully no further snow or ice. It does take a while to shift though, so be wary. You'll also have to combat winds around 15 mph at times, and gusts above 30.

Wednesday Night is Members Night at Nottingham Hackspace. If you're a member, come along and spend some time with us! Especially because tonight is also the monthly Member's Meeting. If you're not a member yet, you're very welcome to come along to a tour and see what the whole thing is about.

In science news today, NASA has been given a huge reprieve from the budget cuts insisted on by the current American administration. Yesterday, Congress rejected the budget which cut many space fairing missions to shreds. The original budget was over $3.9 billion is less than half the actual running costs. The Appropriations Committee instead gave $7.25 billion, which will help fund the Space Launch System, Orion, and the Artemis Moon To Mars programs.
