Wednesday, 14th January
A freezing morning will warm up to 5 degrees by lunch time before starting to cool off again. Expect a splash of rain around 6pm. Calm winds throughout.
Wednesday night is member's night over at Nottingham Hackspace, so that is where I'll be. Come along for socialising whilst idly pondering your next project. I'll be painting my ArcWorlde minis, if I manage to find some paint. Before hand though, I'll be grabbing a falafel burger at the Fox and Grapes. They're serving burgers, chilli, and quesadillas until 8pm.
In transport news, the government have released an interactive map showing how your council are spending its portion of the £7.3billion in funding to maintain and improve the nation's roads. In Nottingham, a big chunk of that money has been sent towards safer cycling paths, which no doubt you've already seen. Nottingham has 825km of roads and 206km of managed cycleways. The new map shows Notts is in the amber zone of the three colour rating system. A green rating is given for "spending", which is pulled down by amber in both "best practices" and "general condition".
