Too risky to ride your bike today; a couple of shows to choose from; Stack Overflow flounders to find its place by cavorting with its natural enemy.

Tuesday, 6th January
A chilly day in Colwick.

The weather will start off well into the negatives this morning, at -6 degrees, and climb to around 3 degrees. Don't let that trick you though: it'll feel much colder throughout as we see some rain in the evening and gusts picking up to nasty levels on your evening commute home. My advice: get the bus and enjoy a podcast whilst sitting in the warm.

There are two fun theatre-based events tonight in Nottingham. Head to the Royal Concert Hall for the National Youth Orchestra tonight. Or if you'd rather your live music be in the form of a play, you'll prefer the Lace Market Theatre's rendition of The Cat's Meow, a show about the murder of Thomas Ince with characters like Charlie Chaplin.

In tech news, Stack Overflow yesterday announced a number of dubiously useful features and changes. Their AI Assist is being rolled out, which feels like a giving up on the premise; they are also thinking about allowing answerless questions with open ended discussion (presumably to beef up their training data); and they're still trying to get the Chat feature off the ground.
