The Slice, on Middle Pavement, home of huge sourdough cinnamon swirls

Today we're staying with a top end of 2 degrees, but just for a brief moment around noon, before we plunge back into the negatives and hitting -3 degrees for most of the day. Our winter drought continues though, and there will be no rain and certainly no snow like some of the country is seeing. Saturday looked too icy to be cycling though and today will be even colder - be very careful out there. The wind will be the mildest we've seen it in some times and the gusts just touching 20mph at the worst of times. If you can go safely around frosty patches, it should be quite a nice day riding.

If you're after something cheap and warm today for your lunch, then have a look at The Slice on Middle Pavement. This shop is new to me since I've been that way, and I'm very glad I came across it. I managed to get a huge cinnamon swirl - very good! Their main offering is pizza sold by the slice, which makes it pretty darn cheap. Pop in that way and make their day. You can read about what LeftLion had to say about it on their review.

In tech news, The Guardian reports that Apple have ceased production of new Vision Pro devices, after recently cutting marketing on them by 95%. This is a shame as the product certainly has legs but with the sky high price tag (over £3,000 each) they were never going to be a mass market device. The space isn't completely dead though, and other manufacturers have entered the market. Many take the form of simple glasses which reflect a monitor into your eyes. The image floats persistently in mid-air, allowing it to have multiple devices you can move your head naturally around to see. The often connect via HDMI to your laptop. If you're after one of these, search around for AR glasses, and you'll see a wide range of prices.
