The EIHL Playoffs competition is held to award the winner of the British Championship. Whilst it's often called the most prestigious of the tournaments held in the season, the hosts of the Nottingham Panthers podcast discussed trading this year's success for the League title.
Panthers came third in the league this year, three points behind second place, Cardiff Devils. The winners, Belfast Giants, were 9 points ahead of the Devils.
This hockey season there have been a number of wins for the Panthers. First came the IIHF Continental Cup, where the Nottingham home team beat off European hockey teams to take gold. The first Elite tournament to finish this year was the Challenge Cup, which the Panthers won.
The Panthers have won the Playoff title seven times.
The Playoff Semi-Finals are at 3pm and 7pm on Saturday, 18th April. These can be watched on Elite League TV.
The Playoff Final will be shown live on Premier Sports and streamed on Elite League TV from 4:30pm on Sunday, 19th April.
