Nottingham's best Sunday roast? It could be Hockley Emporium.

Finally, Sunday is here: it's time for a roast; NCT move their storefront to Lister Gate.

Nottingham's best Sunday roast? It could be Hockley Emporium.
The Emporium also sells vintage clothing and records.

My old friends at the gritting services tell me that they were not on call last night, and so there should not be a serious danger of ice - although watch out for it tonight and Monday. It's very cold right now, but up to six degrees later. It's likely raining right now where you are, but will stop shortly, starting again during lunch. Gust this morning, but that will die off soon too.

Update on today’s event: unfortunately, the chef at the Hockley Emporium is unwell today so no Sunday lunch! Crosse Keys are serving a proper Sunday roast too!

It's against my best interests to do this but I'm going to share a secret with you: the best Sunday roast is available today at Hockley Emporium, just at the top of Hockley opposite Sainsbury's. Seats and availablility is limited, but head down there from 1pm and you will be in for a £6 treat. It's top notch food at a shock price. I highly recommend taking a look at the add-ons.

It may be a slightly unusual plating method, but each piece of the vegetarian roast was delicious.

In transport news, the NCT building - were you get your bus passed topped up - is moving towards the Broadmarsh area, on Lister Gate. The move is said to be for quite a disappointing reason: staff are tired of washing human waste from the store front each morning. Hopefully being slightly further away from certain pubs will solve that problem for them. The building already looks to have new occupants moving in and setting up shelving units. It would be interesting to know how they feel about the past tenants parting review.
