Tonight, mathematician and comedian Matt Parker returns to the Playhouse to share more highly humorous number-based jokes; this time around he's breaking down interesting maths problems like the Dobble problem, which was the subject of a Youtube video last year. Matt is touring with his show that played on the Edinburgh Fringe throughout August last year. Oliver Paul, on The Student, settled some nerves if you're feeling unqualified to enjoy the show. They said: "the true litmus test of this show is that, even though I know zero about maths, I was enthralled throughout." Tickets are £27.50.

In football news, ignited flares were thrown onto the pitch during a Europa League game vs Nottingham Forest yesterday. The flares were reportedly thrown by a Fenerbahce fan. Police officers have arrested one 37-year-old man who was amongst the Turkish team's fans. Additionally, and unrelatedly, two other arrests were made during the game: one for assault on a steward, and another for trespass onto the pitch. On Saturday, football police were out in force monitoring fans of the Grimsby v Notts County game, where no arrests occurred. Only a week ago, a special police service was used to control the temperature of a boxing match, due to football rivalry concerns.
