I'm not okay; it's emo day!
Two venues synchronise to bring a fully day of emo music from 4pm til 2:30am.
Between 5 degrees in the morning and 9 degrees by lunch today, but on going rain will make it feel colder if you let yourself get damp. Wind is very low though, so if you're able to stay dry you'll enjoying Light Night just fine.
I guess today is emo day in Nottingham. "Elder Emo Day Party" is taking place in Saltbox from ... 4pm! A party with MCR, Paramore, Fall Out Boy, and Green Day, and back home before tea time - that sounds lovely. If you've a bit more energy than me, the party continues with more emo music at 10:30 pm at Billy Bootleggers.
This week we wrote about Base 51's services to help at risk youth. One of the ways they are funded is via a raffle for the Panthers' Shirt off their Back. 8719 tickets were sold which will help fund the charity supplying counselling and safe spaces. Two entrants managed to snag two shirts each! Daphne Harris was one lucky fan. "Not going to lie - I wasn't expecting to win two, let alone one with how many people had entered," she told us. Daphne's name might be recognisable already to some of you as she appears on the Jumbotron each game as Tim Doherty's sponsor, so the lucky draw couldn't have gone to a more deserving fan. Congratulations, Daphne!
