Heritage Awards tonight: celebrating orgs supporting LGBT+ community
Final tickets remain for Harlem Globetrotters; Rainbow Heritage Awards celebrate queer community services and organisations.
Well, well, well, listen to this! A high of 15 degrees today. This morning we're starting at 10 degrees. It certainly feels like spring is on the way. Zero chance of rain and the wind isn't all that much to worry about. What a nice day it's shaping up to be already!
At the Motorpoint Arena tonight are the Harlem Globetrotters, who still have a few tickets left. If you're not aware, the Globetrotters are a professional basketball team in the way that WWE wrestlers are professional wrestles. They're outstanding athletes for sure but their exciting feats are sometimes scripted but no less impressive because of it. There will be some proper basketball played, and throughout will be morsels of entertainment.
In celebratory news, the Rainbow Heritage Awards are taking place tonight at the Council House from 7pm. These events are in their 18th year and showcase the work of local queer groups, individuals, or services, like Nottingham Frontrunners, The Spencer Trust, and the Nottinghamshire Hurricanes. The organisers said, "all are welcome to attend and entry is free, come along to meet and connect with many community groups and friendly faces".
