Final tickets left for Cock and Hoop Comedy Club
The club hosts local talent that's said to be quickly up-and-coming.
Good news! We're back to ten degrees just after lunch time. Bad news, it will be raining a lot of the day. A small amount of fairly continuous sky juice. The thing to watch out for is the wind this afternoon though: 30 mph gusts for most of it.
There are still a number of tickets left for the comedy club at the Cock and Hoop, over in Lace Market. The comedy night will see an array of comics from the area doing short sets. The Lace Market Hotel, who own the pub, tell me that this is one of their busiest events, and getting more popular over time. That's a good sign that at least one of the acts you'll see will end up on your TV in the near future. It also means that tickets will run out, so book yours right now. It's free entry but booking is highly recommended. Their main menu is off whilst their chef is on holiday, but pizzas will be available until 11pm (later than the website suggests).
In Hackspace news, the tablesaw is back in action thanks to the hard work of both Nathan and AJ - who are both shaping up to be Hackspace superstars with the number of improvements they've added to the space. The tablesaw has been out of commission since November whilst waiting for a replacement motor part. Just before the tablesaw failed, the woodworking team had started doing regular inductions again. Now might be a good time to get your induction requests in if you're eager to use the machine.
