The Dot to Dot music festival is running today across nineteen venues around the city. 88 different bands will be playing today from early afternoon until late into the evening.
The festival is primarily known for touring with indie-rock bands, but there are many that stray outside of that genre. Lambrini Girls will be bringing incendiary punk with them, Adult DVD rock and dance-punk, and Brògeal a more folk energy.
There are still tickets available, but organisers say they are in their last few. They can still be purchased online or by attending the wristband exchange near to Rock City on Talbot Street. These cost £35 and get you access to the entire festival.
Rock City is featuring some of the headliners but venues across the city include small and large spaces. The Grove has acts playing all day. As does The Carousel and 31K. It's likely that there will be just a short stroll between venues, so dipping in and out is a possibility whilst sampling what's on offer.
Many venues are open to people 14 years-old and up but some are restricted to 18 and over investigate beforehand if going out as a family.
