Beeston Tales tonight; stories, cakes, and a hypnotic evening.
Avoid the cold and wet today and listing to stories at Beeston Tales instead.
Today's weather is similar to yesterday, including the unexpected rain, I bet. 5 degrees and windy by noon, and dropping to near freezing afterwards. It is windy enough today, with gusts faster than 32 mph, that leaving your bike at home and jumping on a warm bus might be a better option.
Tonight is another story telling night! This time over in Beeston where Beeston Tales will be presenting a number of a local storytellers plus a special keynote speaker. Jordan Campbell will be telling on the theme of power and transformation, where we can expect to get a dynamic performance. The performances start promptly at 7:30pm at Our Lady of the Assumption Church Hall. Tickets are £9.
The Morning Briefing sat down with one of the co-founders and hosts of Beeston Tales last night (in Baba, Turkish restaurant, who tell us that they are kicking off a breakfast menu and opening at 9am soon). You can expect a full write up of the event and storytelling in general around the East Midlands soon.
