Morning Briefing

Hello, it's me, Shane.

After enjoying the Morning Briefing on my 24 Hours of Radio project, I've decided it might be worth writing the Briefing down too.

Come back each day to find some cyclist-relevant weather updates, something for you to do today in Nottingham, and a bit of news that you can talk about at lunch with your colleagues.

Corrections and complaints

As of 8th February, 2025 (and hopefully before), the Morning Briefing is guided by The Editors' Code of Practice, published by IPSO. If you find we've fallen below those standards or want to submit a correction, please email: shane@morningbriefing.org.

Journalism

Although the Morning Briefing is a quick thing I throw together each day, I am also embarking on a less-than-part-time mission to pick up a few journalism skills. I'm currently working on a Foundation in Journalism qualification, and this website will be where you'll find my adventures in that.

Privacy policy

This website doesn't track any personal details. Not even your IP address. We do collect privacy-focused analytics using Simple Analytics to learn about page view counts.

We host on Ghost.io which is slightly out of our control, but as of writing, there's no signs that they collect any personal details either.

Financial disclosure

Current yearly costs for the Morning Briefing are around £250 per year. We are not struggling financially, but the service has no income currently.
